Summary	Catalyzes the ATP-dependent carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA (By similarity). Carries out three functions: biotin carboxyl carrier protein, biotin carboxylase and carboxyltransferase (By similarity). Involved in inhibition of fatty acid and glucose oxidation and enhancement of fat storage (PubMed:11283375, PubMed:12920182, PubMed:15677334, PubMed:18487439, PubMed:22362781). May play a role in regulation of mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation through malonyl-CoA-dependent inhibition of carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1 (PubMed:10677481).[UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Function]
Performance Guranteed	OriGene guarantees that at least two of the three Dicer-Substrate duplexes in the kit will provide at least 70% or more knockdown of the target mRNA when used at 10 nM concentration by quantitative RT-PCR when the TYE-563 fluorescent transfection control duplex (cat# SR30002) indicates that >90% of the cells have been transfected and the HPRT positive control (cat# SR30003) provides 90% knockdown efficiency.
