Applications	Cell culture
Storage	Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20°C for 1 year. Upon reconstitution, store at 2°C to 8°C for up to 1 week. Further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein or stabilizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA, 10%FBS, 5%HSA or 5% trehalose solution), protein aliquots should be stored at -20°C or -80°C for 3-6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Bioactivity	Measure by its ability to induce IL-8 secretion in human PBMCs. The ED₅₀ for this effect is <5 ng/mL.

Summary	Human CD40L (CD154) is one member of TNF family which is expressed on T cells. It binds the CD40, which is on the antigen-presenting cells (ex: B cells, macrophages and monocytes) Human CD40L is a 21.6 kDa cytokine with 103 amino acid residues which is a transmembrane glycoprotein. Human CD40L plays an important role in the adaptive immune system which induces the B cell maturation and activation.
