Summary Substrate-specific adapter of a BCR (BTB-CUL3-RBX1) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex required for mitotic progression and cytokinesis (By similarity). The BCR(KLHL18) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex mediates the ubiquitination of AURKA leading to its activation at the centrosome which is required for initiating mitotic entry (By similarity). Regulates light- and dark-dependent alpha-transducin localization changes in rod photoreceptors through UNC119 ubiquitination and degradation (PubMed:31696965). Preferentially ubiquitinates the unphosphorylated form of UNC119 over the phosphorylated form (PubMed:31696965). In the presence of UNC119, under dark-adapted conditions alpha-transducin mislocalizes from the outer segment to the inner part of rod photoreceptors which leads to decreased photoreceptor damage caused by light (PubMed:31696965).[UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Function]
Performance Guranteed OriGene guarantees that at least two of the three Dicer-Substrate duplexes in the kit will provide at least 70% or more knockdown of the target mRNA when used at 10 nM concentration by quantitative RT-PCR when the TYE-563 fluorescent transfection control duplex (cat# SR30002) indicates that >90% of the cells have been transfected and the HPRT positive control (cat# SR30003) provides 90% knockdown efficiency.
