Tag | His Tag (C-term) |
Predicted MW | The protein has a calculated MW of 21.00 kDa. The protein migrates as 17-25 kDa under reducing condition (SDS-PAGE analysis). |
Purity | >98% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
Buffer | The protein was lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution containing 1X PBS, pH 7.4. |
Applications | Cell culture |
Storage | Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20°C for 1 year. Upon reconstitution, store at 2°C to 8°C for up to 1 week. Further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein or stabilizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA, 10%FBS, 5%HSA or 5% trehalose solution), protein aliquots should be stored at -20°C or -80°C for 3-6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |
Bioactivity | Measure by its ability to induce cytotoxicity in L929 cells in the presence of actinomycin D. The ED₅₀ for this effect is <1 ng/mL. |
Endotoxin | <0.1 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method. |

UniProt ID | P50592 |
Synonyms | TNFSF10, Apo2 Ligand, TL2, Apo2L, CD253 |
Summary | Tumor Necrosis Factor associated Apoptosis Inducing Ligand (TRAIL) is a type II membrane protein of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family members, moreover expressed in many adult tissues including the thymus, prostate, colon, ovary and lung. TRAIL is a 19 kDa protein containing 281 residues. Mouse TRAIL shares 70% amino acids sequence identity with human, bovine, and porcine. TRAIL to induce apoptosis in human breast carcinoma cells (MCF7) and human epithelioid carcinoma (HeLa) cell lines, by activate two death receptors of DR4 and DR5 or two decoy receptors DcR1 and DcR2. |
