Applications	Cell culture

Further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein or stabilizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA, 10%FBS, 5%HSA or 5% trehalose solution), protein aliquots should be stored at -20°C or -80°C for 3-6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Bioactivity	Measure by its ability to chemoattract BaF3 cells transfected with human CXCR4. The ED₅₀ for this effect is <0.5 ng/mL.

Summary	C-X-C motif chemokine 12 (CXCL12) also named stromal cell-derived factor 1 (SDF-1), which is a chemokine of the intercrine alpha family. CXCL12 is a 19.5kDa protein containing 167 amino acid residues. The function of CXCL12 include the hematopoiesis, angiogenesis embryogenesis, inflammation and angiogenesis. CXCL12 activated by the IL-1, TNF or lipopolysaccharide and induce the immune response in leukocytes.
