Background | Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a 36-amino acid neuropeptide known to be involved in several physiological and homeostatic processes in the both central and peripheral nervous system. It is the most abundant peptide present in the mammalian central nervous system and it is synthesized in GABAergic neurons, acting as neurotransmitter during cellular communication. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Neuropeptide Y coupled to a carrier protein. |
