Applications | ELISA |
Recommend Dilution | This antibody has been tested and validated in ELISA against Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Hormone. Other applications like immunohistochemistry (IHC), FACS or Western Blot may work as well. Optimal dilutions should be determined by the end user. |
Reactivity | Human, Mammalian |
Host | Rabbit |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Immunogen | Synthetic peptide Pyr-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2 coupled to carrier protein. |
Formulation | Each vial contains enough antiserum for 500 RIA tubes. The powder should be rehydrated with 50ml RIA buffer. Upon reconstitution to 50ml total volume, the solution contains 0.1M sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.4), 0.05M NaCl, 0.1% BSA, 0.01% NaN3, and 0.1% Triton X-100. Store at 4°C. This should ensure antibody stability for approximately one month. |
Concentration | N/A |
Conjugation | Unconjugated |
Storage Condition | Original vial: at least one year at 4° - 8°C from date of delivery. Minimize repeated thawing and freezing of the antiserum by freezing aliquots at -20°C or below. |
Gene Name | gonadotropin releasing hormone 1 |

Background | Luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH), also known as Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) or Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Factor (LRF), is a hypothalamic neuropeptide which acts on the pituitary to stimulate the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). LHRH may act as a growth modulatory factor in tumors of the reproductive system. The effects of LHRH are mediated by high-affinity G protein-coupled LHRH-receptor (LHRH-R) on pituitary gonadotropes. HRH and LHRH receptors (LHRH-Rs) are expressed in human melanoma cells and LHRH-Rs are found in more than 50% of human breast cancers. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Hormone coupled to a carrier protein. |
