Formulation	Each vial contains enough antiserum for 500 RIA tubes. The powder should be rehydrated with 50ml RIA buffer. Upon reconstitution to 50ml total volume, the solution contains 0.1M sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.4), 0.05M NaCl, 0.1% BSA, 0.01% NaN3, and 0.1% Triton X-100. Store at 4°C. This should ensure antibody stability for approximately one month.

Background	Gastrin-releasing peptide is a 27-amino acid peptide isolated from the gut. It stimulates the release of Gastrin and shares a common C-terminal decapeptide homology with bombesin. Gastrin-releasing peptide is known to be an important growth-modulating factor in developing lung epithelium. It is used as a tumor marker in the diagnosis of small-cell lung carcinoma. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Gastrin-releasing peptide coupled to a carrier protein.
