Applications | ELISA |
Recommend Dilution | This antibody has been tested and validated in ELISA against GLP-1. Other applications like immunohistochemistry (IHC), FACS or Western Blot may work as well. Optimal dilutions should be determined by the end user. |
Reactivity | Bovine, Guinea Pig, Human, Mouse, Rat |
Host | Rabbit |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Immunogen | Synthetic peptide H-His-Ala-Glu-Gly-Thr-Phe-Thr-Ser-Asp-Val-Ser-Ser- Tyr-Leu-Glu-Gly-Gln-Ala-Ala-Lys-Glu-Phe-Ile-Ala-Trp-Leu-Val-Lys-Gly- Arg-NH2 coupled to carrier protein. |
Formulation | This polyclonal antibody is supplied as a lyophilized powder. The powder should be rehydrated with 50ml of RIA buffer. Upon reconstitution to 50ml total volume, the solution contains 0.1M sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.4), 0.05M NaCl, 0.1% BSA, 0.01% NaN3, and 0.1% Triton X-100. Store at 4° - 8°C. This should ensure antibody stability for approximately one month. |
Concentration | N/A |
Conjugation | Unconjugated |
Storage Condition | Original vial: at least one year at 4° - 8°C from date of delivery. Minimize repeated thawing and freezing of the antiserum by freezing aliquots at -20°C or below. |
Gene Name | glucagon |

Background | Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 (GLP-1) (7-36) amide is an incretin hormone that causes the glucose dependent release of insulin by pancreatic beta cells. It is the cleavage product of GLP-1 (1-36) amide peptide. GLP-1 is involved in gastric motility, the suppression of plasma glucagon levels, and possibly in the promotion of satiety and stimulation of glucose disposal in peripheral tissues, independent of the actions of insulin. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 coupled to a carrier protein. |
Synonyms | GLP1; GLP2; glucagon; GRPP |
