Clone Name | 25463 (49/20) |
Applications | ELISA, FC, FN, IHC, WB |
Recommend Dilution | Flow Cytometry: 1/10-1/40. ELISA: 1/250-1/1000. Western Blot: 1/125-1/500. This antibody will detect Human IL-4 R under non-reducing conditions. Functional Assays. Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 1/20-1/60. |
Reactivity | Human |
Host | Mouse |
Clonality | Monoclonal |
Immunogen | Sf 21-derived, recombinant Human interleukin 4 Receptor, extracellular domain. |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for Interleukin 4 Receptor, the transmembrane ligand-binding subunit of the heterodimeric IL-4 receptor complex. This antibody blocks cell surface IL-4 receptor mediated bioactivities induced by IL-4 or IL-13. An ND50 was observed at approximately 5-20 ng/ml in the presence of 0.2 ng/ml of IL-4 using the factor dependant Human erythroleukemic cell line, TF-1. |
Formulation | PBS State: Purified State: Liquid purified IgG fraction from Ascites with 0.5% Trehalose |
Concentration | lot specific |
Purification | Affinity Chromatography on Protein A |
Conjugation | Unconjugated |
Storage Condition | Store undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
Gene Name | interleukin 4 receptor |

Background | IL4 Receptor alpha (IL4RA) is the alpha chain of the interleukin 4 receptor which binds to both interleukin 4 and interleukin 13 to regulate IgE production, chemokine and mucus production at sites of allergic inflammmation. The IL4 response is involved in promoting Th2 differentiation. The secreted extracellular domain of IL4R alpha, called sIL4R alpha, can inhibit IL4-mediated cell proliferation and IL5 upregulation by T-cells. It has no signaling abilities. Allelic variations in the IL4RA gene have been associated with atopy, a condition that can manifest itself as allergic rhinitis, sinusitus, asthma, or eczema. IL-4 R is expressed by B cells, T cells, monocytes and macrophages. |
Synonyms | Interleukin-4 receptor alpha chain, IL-4R-alpha, IL4RA, 582J2.1, IL4 Receptor alpha |
