Specifications

Product Data
Applications ELISA, IHC
Recommend Dilution Peptide ELISA: 1/32000 (Detection Limit)
Immunohistochemistry on Parrafin Sections: 4-6 µg/ml In paraffin embedded Human Colon shows membranous staining. 5 µg/ml In paraffin embedded Human Small Intestine.
Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 55kDa and 37kDa in Human Duodenum lysate after 0.3µg/ml antibody staining.
Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the 37kDa band we observe given the calculated size of 55.8kDa according to NP_000852.1. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional band).
Reactivity Bovine, Canine, Human, Mouse, Rat
Host Goat
Clonality Polyclonal
Immunogen Peptide with sequence from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_000852.1; NP_001091681.1; NP_001091682.1; NP_001091683.1.
Specificity Recognizes Histamine H1 receptor (C-term).

Gene Name histamine receptor H1
Background Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. The histamine H1 receptor (HRH1) is an integral membrane protein and belongs to the family 1 of G protein-coupled receptors. It mediates the contraction of smooth muscles, increase in capillary permeability due to contraction of terminal venules, catecholamine release from adrenal medulla, and mediates neurotransmission in the central nervous system.
Synonyms HRH1, HR-H1, Histamine H1 receptor
