Recommend Dilution | Western Blot (See Feuk-Lagerstedt et al). Functional Studies: Removal of Sodium Azide by dialysis is recommended prior to use. Flow Cytometry: Use 10 µl of 1/50-1/100 diluted antibody to label 5x105 cells or 100 µl whole blood. Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Sections: 1/25-1/100. The epitope recognized by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. Please use acetone fixation. Recommended Positive Control: Bone marrow tissue. Does not work on Paraffin Sections. |

Background | CD66b is a 95-100 kD, GPI anchored molecule. CD66b is expressed strongly by mature granulocytes and meta-myelocytes, but only weakly by bone marrow myelocytes. Peripheral blood monocytes and lymphocytes do not express significant amounts of this antigen. The antibody reacts with cells from CML in the chronic phase. The CD67 cluster was re-designated as CD66b at the Vth Leucocyte Typing Workshop in Boston, 1993. |
