Clone Name | 2ST8.5H7 |
Applications | FC, IP, WB |
Recommend Dilution | Western Blot. Immunoprecipitation. Flow Cytometry: Use 10 µl of neat-1/10 diluted CD8b antibody to label 10e6 cells in 100 µl. |
Reactivity | Human, Monkey |
Host | Mouse |
Clonality | Monoclonal |
Immunogen | Normal Human T lymphocytes. |
Specificity | This antibody recognises the CD8 cell surface antigen. The antibody binds to the beta chain, recognising an epitope that is dependent upon expression of both CD8 alpha and CD8 beta. |
Formulation | PBS, pH 7.4 with 1% BSA as stabilizer State: Purified State: Lyophilized purified IgG fraction. |
Reconstitution Method | Restore with 0.2 ml distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. We recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. |
Concentration | lot specific |
Conjugation | Unconjugated |
Storage Condition | Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
Gene Name | CD8b molecule |

Background | The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell to cell interactions within the immune system. The CD8 antigen, acting as a coreceptor, and the T cell receptor on the T lymphocyte recognize antigen displayed by an antigen presenting cell (APC) in the context of class I MHC molecules. The functional coreceptor is either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains, or a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain. Both alpha and beta chains share significant homology to immunoglobulin variable light chains. |
